Gouden Carolus Sherry Oak is a Belgian single malt from the De Molenberg Distillery, created by the family behind Het Anker brewery in Mechelen. It is matured in sherry oak and comes in a 50cl bottle. The spirit is made from the mash of Gouden Carolus Tripel, which links the brewery to the distillery. The nose combines dried fruits, vanilla and caramel with gentle oak and warming spices. The palate is full-bodied, with raisins, dark fruit, sweet malt, caramel and vanilla. The finish is long and warming, with dried fruit, sweet spice and oak.
