Gouden Carolus Single Malt is a Belgian whisky, distilled, matured and bottled in Mechelen. It is bottled at 46% without chill-filtration, in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is matured in first fill bourbon casks and finished in Amburana, a Brazilian oak. The bourbon casks bring vanilla, honey and soft oak, while the Amburana adds spice, cinnamon and a gentle sweetness.
The nose offers honey, vanilla, soft spices, light coconut and warm wood. The palate is full and round, with cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and soft fruit. The finish is long, spicy and warm.
