Green River Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 45%)

Green River Bourbon is the flagship Kentucky straight bourbon from the revived Green River Distilling Co. in Owensboro. It is bottled at 45% ABV without chill filtration, after more than five years in new charred American oak. The mash bill is high in rye: 70% corn, 21% winter rye and 9% malted barley. The brand dates from 1885, when it was founded by John W. McCulloch, and was relaunched in 2022. It was once sold under the line "The Whiskey Without A Headache". The nose is cinnamon, dried cherry and light leather. On the palate are cinnamon, vanilla, caramel and chocolate mint, and the finish is rich and lingering, with citrus peel and brown sugar.
