Green River – Honey Finished Bourbon Whiskey

This is a Kentucky bourbon from Green River, finished with honey. Green River was established in 1885 by John W. McCulloch in Owensboro, Kentucky. A fire in 1914 destroyed the production area shortly before Prohibition and the distillery closed. It was rebuilt and changed hands several times before Terresentia Corporation bought it in 2014, with Ron Call, a former Jim Beam distiller, overseeing the renovation. In 2020 the company acquired the rights to the Green River Distilling Co. name, and the brand has since been bought by Bardstown Bourbon Co.
