Green River Kentucky Straight Rye is made at the Green River distillery in Owensboro, Kentucky, which was established in 1885 and is described as the tenth oldest licensed distillery in the state. It is bottled at 95 proof.
The nose brings orange peel, fresh spearmint and a touch of black pepper above a base of vanilla and graham cracker. The finish is medium in length, with slight rye spice, herbal tea and soft oak.
