Green Spot Quails' Gate Pinot Noir Finish is a single pot still Irish whiskey from Midleton in County Cork, bottled at 46% ABV in a 750ml bottle without chill filtration. It belongs to the Green Spot Wine Geese series.
It is a blend of triple-distilled pot still whiskeys aged seven to ten years, first matured in ex-bourbon American oak and ex-sherry casks. It then spent a further 16 months in Pinot Noir barrels from Quails' Gate Winery in British Columbia's Okanagan Valley.
The nose has baking spices, green apple and red berries. The palate is silky and chewy, with red apple, cranberry and cherry. The finish is long, with toasted wood and soft tannins.
