Redbreast 12 Year Old is an Irish single pot still whiskey from the Midleton Distillery in County Cork, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
Midleton, also known as the home of Jameson and Tullamore Dew, was founded in 1825 and rebuilt in modern form in 1975. It passed into the ownership of the French group Pernod Ricard in 1988.
The name Redbreast, the robin, recalls a former manager of the distillery who was known as a keen lover of birds.
