Grey Coast is an Irish whiskey made in collaboration between the professional golfer Graeme McDowell and the family-owned Boann Distillery, just north of Dublin. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It brings together different casks and whiskey styles: virgin American oak, ex-bourbon barrels and Oloroso sherry casks.
The virgin oak adds warm vanilla and honeycomb, the ex-bourbon barrels contribute golden syrup, and the Oloroso casks bring raisin, almond and hints of spice.
