Ha'penny Four Cask is a blended Irish whiskey from Pearse Lyons Distillery in Dublin, made from 38% malt and 62% grain whiskey. The components are aged between 4 and 10 years, and it is bottled at 43% without chill filtration, in a 75cl bottle.
Four cask types shape the blend: malt matured in port pipes and in first-fill bourbon barrels, and grain matured in sherry butts and in double-charred barrels. The name comes from Dublin's Ha'penny Bridge over the River Liffey.
The nose brings oak spice and nuttiness with dried berries, tropical fruit, vanilla and cinnamon. On the palate are peppery wood spice, dried apricot, marzipan, demerara and orange, and the finish is a lingering oak spice.
