Ha'penny Four Cask is an Irish blend of malt and grain whiskeys, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle without chill-filtering or added colour. The Pearse Lyons Distillery team created the Ha'penny range as a tribute to Dublin's Ha'penny Bridge.
The whiskeys in the blend are between four and ten years old, and the bottle carries no age statement. Malt finished in port pipes and malt from first-fill bourbon barrels are joined by grain from sherry butts and grain from double-charred barrels.
The nose is fresh and fruity, with tropical fruit, berries and vanilla. The palate is dry yet round, with dried apricot, marzipan and demerara sugar. The finish brings vanilla, crème caramel and orange, with spicy oak lingering.
