Hatozaki Small Batch Triple Cask Reserve is a Japanese pure malt whiskey made at the Kaikyo Distillery under Master Distiller Kimio Yonezawa. It is bottled at 46% ABV. The malt whiskies are first matured in a mix of ex-Bourbon and Sherry casks, then finished in Umeshu plum liqueur barrels, which add a fruit-led depth. The nose has plum and honey with a hint of oak. The palate is sweet malt, dried fruit and a touch of spice, and the finish is long, with lingering fruity sweetness.
