Hazelburn 21 Years Old Triple Distilled 2022 Release (70cl, 46%)

This is a 21 year old Hazelburn, the triple distilled, unpeated single malt made at the Springbank distillery in Campbeltown. It was matured in 70% sherry casks and 30% bourbon casks, and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The 2022 release came to 3,600 bottles. It is described as fruity and spicy, with dried fruits, tobacco and varnished wood. Charcoal, grassy moss and a bunch of dark fruits sit alongside, which reflect the sherry casks, while lemon and citrus notes drift in and out.
