This is an 8-year-old single malt from Hazelburn, one of three malts made at the Springbank distillery in Campbeltown. Hazelburn is triple distilled and unpeated, and this bottling matured only in Oloroso sherry casks before being bottled at 48.2% ABV. It is limited to 10,500 bottles.
The nose opens with cinnamon and maple, followed by cocoa powder, cranberry and redcurrant. On the palate mixed berries lead, with hints of strawberry pastry, sticky toffee pudding and blackberry. The finish is nutty, with hazelnut and walnut.
