Mediocrity Be Damned is a cask strength single malt from Heartwood, bottled at 67.2% ABV in a 500ml bottle. The spirit was distilled at Lark Distillery in September 2008 and the release is dedicated to Lyn Lark.
It matured in a single Oloroso sherry cask, which also left a subtle thread of peat. The cask was bottled in August 2016 and yielded 280 bottles.
Expect a full sherry character of dense dried fruits, dark caramel, old oak and spice, with a whisper of smoke and a long finish.
