Heaven Hill Bottled in Bond is a Kentucky straight bourbon from the family-owned Heaven Hill distillery, first released in 1939. This one is matured for 7 years, three more than the four the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897 requires.
Bottled-in-Bond rules also call for 50% ABV (100 proof) and whiskey from a single distilling season.
The nose is warm, with vanilla, honey and rich caramel sweetness. The palate is soft, warm and sweet, with a subtle rye spice and caramel and honey balanced by oak and toasted notes. The finish is long and lingering.
