Hellyers Road – Pinot Noir Finish (70cl, 46.2%)

This is a Tasmanian single malt whisky from Hellyers Road, distilled from Tasmanian malted barley. It matured first in American oak ex-bourbon barrels and was then finished in Tasmanian Pinot Noir casks. It is bottled at 46.2%, non-chill filtered and natural in colour. The Pinot Noir finish adds red fruit brightness to a creamy malt character. The nose is soft, with red berries, malted barley, toffee, vanilla and cherry. The palate is silky, with dark fruit, creamy malt, red currant, cocoa and toasted oak, lifted by a gentle acidity. The finish is long, with berry compote, vanilla cream and light oak tannin.
