This is a straight bourbon from Heritage Distilling, made to mark the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Iwo Jima on 19 February 2025. It was mashed, fermented, distilled and aged by the distillery in Washington State, matured for five years or more in new heavy charred American oak, and bottled at 52.5% ABV in a 75cl keepsake bottle with artwork by veteran artist Michael Solovey. Ten per cent of gross profits from each bottle goes to the Marine Raider Foundation. The colour is golden amber. The nose offers sweet wheat, caramelised pecan, honey and citrus zest, and the palate turns to toasted oak, dried fig, black peppercorn, nutmeg and vanilla.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
