Heritage Distilling Co Special Operations Salute Whiskey - D-Day 80th Anniversary - Air (75cl, 50.5%)

This is a limited straight bourbon from Heritage Distilling, released for the 80th anniversary of D-Day on 6 June 2024. This Air edition honours the airmen of the allied air forces who flew the largest aerial operation in history, mostly at night and in low cloud. It was mashed, fermented, distilled and aged by the distillery in Washington State, matured for five years or more, and bottled at 50.5% ABV in a 75cl keepsake bottle. The colour is golden amber. The nose has sweet wheat, toasted toffee, nuts, vanilla and caramel. The palate brings dried apricot, toasted oak, raw cinnamon, leather and almond husk.
