High Coast Älv (70cl, 46%)

Älv is a Swedish whisky from High Coast Distillery, part of its Origins range. It was matured in first fill Bourbon casks and averages around six and a half years old. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and without chill filtration. The nose is freshly baked vanilla sponge with lemon drizzle. The palate is soft, with sweet vanilla, citrus sweets, nuts and custard cream biscuits, and liquorice appears with time in the glass. The finish is short and sweet, with light toffee and lingering vanilla.
