Aurora Batch 1 is a Swedish single malt from High Coast, made by combining unpeated and peated malt at a peat level of 2ppm. It was bottled on 2 September 2025 at 46% ABV, without chill-filtering or added colour, in a 70cl bottle.
Half of the whisky comes from second-fill bourbon casks, 35% from second-fill PX sherry casks and 15% from first-fill Oloroso sherry casks. The component whiskies were between 5.94 and 8.52 years old, averaging 7.0 years.
Pear, vanilla sugar and preserved cherries meet milk chocolate on the nose. Gooseberry, raisin, dried papaya and Earl Grey make the palate fruity and slightly tart, and the finish brings apple, cedar and a little tobacco.
