High Coast Distillery – Timmer Peat

Timmer Peat is a peated single malt from High Coast Distillery in Sweden, bottled without chill filtration. The distillery sits in Norrland, where the temperature swings between summer and winter, and between day and night, are dramatic. Its casks mature in large, unheated warehouses. In the heat the pressure inside the barrels rises and the whisky is pushed deeper into the oak, then the flavours of the wood are released as the temperature and pressure fall again. This cycle repeats day and night and shapes the way the whisky develops.
