High Coast Harbours Collection 01 Ulvöhamn (50cl, 51%)

Harbours Collection 01 Ulvöhamn is the first release in High Coast's Harbours series, bottled in 2022 at 51% in a 50cl bottle. It is built from two parts: 82% unpeated whisky from bourbon casks and 18% peated whisky from casks of Quercus mongolica oak. It is non-chill-filtered and uncoloured. The series follows important harbours of the Höga Kusten and builds on the lightly peated Hav. Ulvöhamn is the sheltered harbour between the two Ulvö islands. The distillery at Bjärtrå began making whisky in 2010. The nose combines apricot, ginger, vanilla and baking spices. On the palate come orange peel, pear and vanilla with light peat. Cedar and aniseed shape the finish, with a hint of tobacco.
