High Coast Mountains 01 Multråberget (50cl, 51%)

High Coast Mountains 01 Multråberget is a fully peated Swedish single malt at 45 ppm, bottled at 51% in a 50cl bottle. It is neither coloured nor chill-filtered, and 6,000 bottles were filled. The whisky is just over eight years old. It spent around five years and three months in bourbon casks, then almost three more years in Pedro Ximénez casks, which balance the peat with the influence of both cask types. It opens the Mountains series, which dedicates four editions to mountains in the distillery's home region. Multråberget lies upriver on the Ångermanälven, near Sollefteå. Sultanas meet peat smoke and vanilla pod on the nose. The palate brings candyfloss, raisin, pear and walnut, and the finish is tobacco and vanilla.
