High Coast – Sixty Three 5 Year Old (63%)

High Coast Sixty Three is a five-year-old single malt from Norrland in northern Sweden, bottled at 63% ABV. High Coast places it on the Ångermanälven. The number 63 runs through the whole bottling. The distillery sits on the 63rd parallel, the whisky matured for 63 months, the malt was peated to 63 ppm, the bourbon casks held 63 litres and they were stored 63 decimetres above the floor. Smoke, bourbon vanilla, malt, oak spice, citrus and cereal are the flavours described, with a pronounced peat character.
