High Coast Small Batch 26 for Sansibar (50cl, 56%)

Small Batch 26 from High Coast in Sweden was created exclusively for Sansibar Whisky and the German market. After the distillery changed its name, it was the first exclusive small batch release for Germany. It marries whisky from a 170-litre bourbon barrel with whisky from a 110-litre oloroso sherry cask. In October 2022 it was bottled at a cask strength of 56%, giving 610 bottles of 50cl. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. Honey and ripe pear come with a fine note of smoke. The palate is silky, with vanilla and cinnamon, and the long, warming finish brings citrus, ginger and wood.
