High N' Wicked Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey 5 Year Old (75cl)

A Kentucky straight rye with a mash of 95% rye and 5% malted rye, in a 750ml bottle. It is made with limestone-rich aquifer water from beneath New Riff Distilling, distilled through a column still and a doubler, and run along an all-copper path. The rye is aged for five years in toasted and charred new American white oak barrels, with a number four char of 55 seconds. The nose offers caramelised apples and peaches, dark cherries, orange peel, baking spices and black pepper. The palate is full, with caramel and honey turning to cinnamon, peppercorn and a little chilli heat. It finishes clean, with apple, peach, dark cocoa and nutmeg.
