A Midwinter Night's Dram Act 10 is High West's tenth annual release of the series, marking its tenth anniversary. It is a Utah straight rye whiskey finished in French oak port wine casks and French Limousin oak, bottled at 49.3% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
It was the first round-number milestone in the series, blended by High West's team to keep the port fruit, oak tannin and rye spice that run through every Act.
The nose has brandied cherries, Calimyrna figs, allspice, grapefruit zest, French oak and vanilla caramel. The palate brings dark cherry, cocoa, cinnamon, spiced plum and rye spice, with port sweetness. The finish is warming rye spice with cherry, cocoa and lingering port sweetness.
