High West A Midwinter Night's Dram Act 6 is the sixth annual release in the distillery's port-finished rye series. It is a Utah straight rye whiskey finished in French oak port wine casks and French Limousin oak, bottled at 49.3% in a 75cl bottle.
The base is High West's Rendezvous Rye blend of straight ryes of varying ages. The port finish adds dark cherry, cocoa and winter spice sweetness, and the blend and port barrel selection change from year to year.
The nose has brandied cherries, Calimyrna figs, allspice, grapefruit zest, French oak and vanilla caramel. The palate brings dark cherry, cocoa, cinnamon, spiced plum and rye spice. The finish is warming, with lingering port sweetness.
