The Encore is a blend of straight ryes from High West in Park City, Utah, finished in port casks. It is a companion release to the annual A Midwinter Night's Dram series, sitting outside the numbered Acts. It is built on the same Rendezvous Rye framework as those Acts, but with its own blend and cask selection. It comes in a 750ml bottle.
The finish uses French oak port wine casks and French Limousin oak.
The nose offers brandied cherries, Calimyrna figs, allspice, grapefruit zest, French oak and vanilla caramel. On the palate are dark cherry, cocoa, cinnamon and spiced plum, and the finish is warming rye spice with lingering port sweetness.
