High West Cask Collection Sauvignon Blanc Barrels (75cl, 50%)

This is a straight whiskey from High West of Park City, Utah, bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof) in a 750ml bottle. It belongs to the distillery's Cask Collection. The whiskey is finished in barrels that previously held Sauvignon Blanc, a white-wine cask in place of the more usual port or sherry. The finish brings orchard fruit and citrus to the whiskey itself. In tasting notes it is described as caramel, vanilla and baking spice from the whiskey, joined by orchard fruit and citrus zest from the wine wood, and ending clean and gently dry.
