High West Rendezvous Rye (75cl, 46%)

High West Rendezvous Rye is a blend of two straight rye whiskeys from the High West Distillery in Park City, Utah. It is bottled at 46% in a 75cl bottle and is non-chill filtered. The blend pairs a high-rye mashbill whiskey with an older pot-still rye. It uses a higher proportion of the older rye than the same distillery's Double Rye, which gives it a more fruit-forward and structured profile. The nose brings orange peel, dried apricots, mint, clove, pine and caramelised sugar. On the palate there is bold ginger and cinnamon spice over molasses, vanilla, macaroon and toasted oak. The finish is lively with rye spice, fading to caramel, orange zest and tobacco.
