This is an 8 year old blended Scotch whisky, Highland Black Special Reserve, bottled at 40% ABV.
The nose brings honey, toffee, vanilla cream and a touch of peanut butter, with some floral hints and a faint wisp of smoke. The palate is malty and smooth, with crushed biscuits, caramel, ginger and honey, balancing sweetness and spice.
The finish is grainy and fruity, with vanilla and green apple skin lingering. It is clean and slightly dry, with a touch of pepper and caramel warmth.
