Highland Park 16 Years Wings of the Eagle is a 16 year old Orkney single malt, one of three whiskies Highland Park first released in 2018 for travel retail. It was matured in sherry-seasoned European and American oak casks.
The nose combines shortbread, waxy orange peel, pine resin and a faint trace of hickory smoke. On the palate the smoke stays soft, leaving room for vanilla and mixed nuts. The finish offers almond butter, a touch of tobacco and crisp brown sugar.
