Highland Park 21 Years is an Orkney single malt, bottled at 46% and released in batches. This is the August 2019 release, matured in sherry casks of European and American oak together with some refill casks, 15 casks in all.
The nose offers gingerbread, pineapple, light salty sea air, dried peat and earthiness. On the palate vanilla builds alongside salted butter, raisins, ginger and old oak. The finish brings baked fruit, a flinty edge, dried herbs and coffee beans.
