This is a 30 year old single malt from Highland Park, distilled and bottled at the distillery in Kirkwall on the Orkney Islands. It was matured for three decades in oak casks and is bottled at 45.2% ABV.
The nose has ripe figs, heather honey and toasted oak. On the palate there is dark chocolate, dried apricots and nutmeg, with gentle peat smoke.
The finish is lingering, with spice and smoke and a warm, smooth close.
