This is the fifth Cask Strength release from Highland Park, a single malt bottled at 64.7% ABV and not chill-filtered.
It was matured in a mix of first-fill European oak sherry casks, Pedro Ximénez sherry casks and ex-bourbon casks.
The notes describe dried fruit such as prunes and dates, with winter spices, cocoa and light oak. The finish is long, with smoky heather and sweet spices.
