Highland Park – Cask Strength

This is Highland Park Cask Strength, a single malt from the Orkney islands. It is a cask strength bottling, so the whisky comes without being reduced in strength before it reaches the glass. The nose is pleasantly sweet and lightly smoky, with toffee, heather honey, nutmeg and citrus fruit. On the palate there are orange, mango, pear and vanilla. The finish is long and soft and stays sweet, with crème brûlée and spice, and a lingering note of peat smoke.
