Highland Park Cask Strength Release No. 4 is a single malt bottled straight from the cask, with no water added to lower its strength. It is the fourth release in the series.
Maturation was mainly in first-fill sherry-seasoned European oak and first-fill sherry-seasoned American oak, with a small share of refill and ex-bourbon casks, and ex-port casks used for the first time.
Toasted coconut, ground lemon and cedarwood open the nose, with Turkish delight in the peat smoke. The palate brings spicy pink grapefruit and rosewater, and the long finish carries sun-baked exotic spices and a ribbon of liquorice.
