Highland Park Cask Strength Release No. 4 is a 14-year-old Orkney single malt, bottled at a cask strength of 64.3% ABV.
Most of the whisky matured in first-fill sherry casks made from European and American oak, with smaller amounts from refill, bourbon and port casks.
The nose brings citrus, toasted oak and vanilla alongside charred heather and fragrant peat smoke. On the palate, citrus blossom, juicy grapefruit and rose tea sit with woody spices and lively peat. The finish adds a touch of aniseed, warming cloves and sweeter baking spices, with heather and soft smoke lingering.
