A single malt from Highland Park in the Islands region, bottled at 43.1% ABV. It is made with a higher proportion of peated malt, which gives it a smoky character.
The name draws on the Viking warrior Sigurd, who slew the dragon Fafnir. Drinking the dragon's blood is said to have given him foresight and wisdom. The whisky was matured in European and American sherry-seasoned oak casks.
On the palate, peat smoke runs alongside vanilla and warm spices.
