Highland Park – Triskelion Limited Edition (45.1%)

Triskelion is a limited edition Highland Park single malt, bottled at 45.1% ABV. Three of the distillery's whisky makers, Gordon Motion, Max McFarlane and John Ramsay, chose three cask types together to explore how wood and maturation shape the spirit. The whisky comes from first-fill sherry casks of Spanish oak, first-fill sherry casks of American oak, and first-fill bourbon casks and hogsheads, with a small number of refill casks alongside. The nose offers smoked heather, fragrant lemon and orange peel and a hint of peach. On the palate come orange marmalade, honeyed toast, floral peat smoke and juicy dried fruit, followed by dried apricot and flamed orange peel in the finish.
