Highland Park – Triskelion

Triskelion is a single malt from Highland Park, created by three whisky makers working together: current head distiller Gordon Motion, former master whisky maker Max McFarlane and master whisky maker emeritus John Ramsay. Between them they bring more than a hundred years of experience. The whisky matures in three types of cask: first-fill sherry-seasoned Spanish oak butts, first-fill sherry-seasoned American oak casks, and first-fill bourbon barrels and hogsheads. The nose is of Seville oranges, coriander seed, crème brûlée and honey. On the palate come orange peel, apricot, cumin and vanilla, with a little light smoke.
