Highland Single Malt Whisky 16 Year Old - Moscatel Casks Finish - Thompson Bros. (45.1%)

This is a 16 year old Highland single malt selected by Thompson Bros. of Dornoch, bottled at 45.1% ABV in July 2026. The distillery is not named. The whisky spent its last six years in Moscatel casks sourced from the Iberian Peninsula. It is non-chill-filtered and free of colouring, and the label carries an illustration of a sardine. The nose is dominated by dried orange peel and blood orange, with light honey. The palate is creamy, with orange cream, roasted hazelnut and caramel. The finish is long and dry, with oak, vanilla and cinnamon.
