Hillrock Solera Aged Bourbon is an American bourbon matured by the Solera method, a technique traditionally used for Sherry, Port, Madeira and Cognac. It is described as the first American whiskey aged in this way.
The bourbon is finished in 20 year old Oloroso Sherry casks. These give it floral notes layered with fig, roasted walnuts, candied fruit and spicy rye.
