Hirsch Kentucky Straight Bourbon

A Kentucky straight bourbon bottled under the Hirsch name. The whisky was made at Michter's Distillery, which began life as Bomberger's Distillery in 1860. The distillery did not produce during Prohibition, from 1919 to 1933, nor from 1951 to 1976. It became Pennco Distillers between 1976 and 1978, then took the Michter's name, and it closed in 1988. Adolf Hirsch had earlier bought some barrels from 1974.
