Hobart Whisky – Sails & Silk Rum & Muscat Cask Finish Single Malt Whisky (50cl, 43%)

Sails & Silk is a Tasmanian single malt from Hobart Whisky, bottled at 43% in a 50cl bottle. It matures first in traditional oak and is then finished in rum and Muscat casks. The rum casks bring caramelised sugar and tropical richness, while the Muscat casks add dried fruit and honey. The whisky has a deep amber colour. On the nose there is honey, raisin and caramelised sugar, with dried apricot, orange peel and soft baking spices. The palate is full and warming, with toffee, molasses and dark dried fruits. The finish is long, with Muscat sweetness, soft rum warmth, caramel and spice.
