House of Lords 8 Year Old is a deluxe blended Scotch whisky bottled at 40% by William Whiteley & Co. Ltd, dating from the 1970s to the 1980s. This is the black label version.
The nose is fruity, with red berries, stewed apple and dried apricot, plus almond, walnut, old oak and dusty spice. The palate is creamy and soft, with caramel, vanilla and malt sweetness, then cinnamon, clove and a little pepper, ending slightly dry. The finish is smooth and mellow, with lingering spice and a faint echo of fruit.
