Indri Agneya is a limited edition Indian single malt, lightly peated and matured in Sherry and Bourbon casks. The name comes from a Sanskrit word meaning 'belonging to fire'. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
It is made in the village of Indri, in the catchment area of the Yamuna river at the foot of the Himalayas.
The nose offers chocolate, vanilla, dried apple and apricot, with a little peat dust. On the palate come mango, ripe banana, toffee and dried peat smoke, leading to a long, smoky finish with sweet and salty notes.
