Refill sherry butt
A single cask Invergordon single grain whisky bottled by Douglas Laing in its Old Particular series. It was distilled in October 2002 and matured for 19 years in a refill sherry butt before bottling in August 2022. The 684 bottles were filled at 51.5% abv, without colouring and without chill-filtering. Invergordon stands in the Highlands and is Scotland's northernmost grain distillery. The nose is sweet with a hint of malt, full-bodied and strong, with American cream soda. On the palate it follows a typical grain style, with corn, vanilla fudge and crushed, heated sugar. The finish brings butterscotch, honey and the bourbon and syrup character you would expect.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
