Ex-bourbon hogshead
An 18-year-old single grain from Invergordon, selected by A.D. Rattray for its Individual Cask Release Collection. It was distilled on 3 April 2007 and bottled on 10 September 2025 at a cask strength of 54% ABV, with 294 bottles drawn from a single ex-bourbon hogshead. Like A.D. Rattray's other single cask bottlings, it is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The nose is ripe apples and pears, slightly dusty, with fine hints of soot and smoke. The palate is full and intense, with dark chocolate, cacao nibs and a smoky chocolate character like a creamy milkshake. The finish is long, with chocolate milkshake, strawberries, nuts and a light tutti-frutti sweetness.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
